media center channel favorites

hi,

been trialling sagetv v7 and i really like the UI and general functionality.

been considering porting to sage, but where is the option to create channel line up favorites? surely its a must?

also, anyone had any luck getting HD 1080i streams to play? all i get is a black screen with audio :-/

Read the SageTV manual that gets installed with the software. TV>Schedule Recordings>Manage Favorites. For me everything plays fine including HD 1080i.

I used to think not having favorites was a big deal when I first got started but once you get into it you will be watching almost everything as a pre-recorded show so you really will not care.

I am not sure what you mean by "getting HD 1080i streams to play". Sage will play back just about any format so I am sure you can get it working.
What are you trying to watch. Usually people are recording with some kind of tuner or have ripped movie files.

What are you trying to watch? What kind of file?
