Error Failed to get status for:

Tried to get BMT up and running. I have stopped and start the service restarted the computer, cleared the browser cache. The only response I get is the following:

Phoenix

Error Failed to get status for: Phoenix

SageTV

Error Failed to get status for: SageTV

System Messages Clear All

The menus are there on the page but they all error when I select them with Failed to " insert menu action here".
What am I doing wrong?

Was this a clean install using the plugin manager, or an upgrade to Sage7.

Typically when i've seen this it's because the phoenix jar wasn't isntalled correctly. Sometimes restarting the sagetv server can fix the issue.

Failing that... try this...

Uninstall the bmt web ui, phoenix-core, and phoenix-api.
restart sagetv
install bmt web ui (which will install phoenix-core and phoenix-api as well)
restart sagetv

I am having the same problem from IE9, but it works fine from FireFox.

Any suggestions?

John

Perhaps someone else could confirm if there is an issue with IE9. I'd still say that it's browser cache issue (it always is), but it could be possible there is a real issue with ie9. I don't have a convenient means to test IE, so I only test/develop in FireFox and Chrome.

I tried it with IE9 on a different computer and it works fine.

I also deleted the Temp Internet Files and Cookies. But, I preserved Favorites website data.

I am still having the problem, so I am wondering if I also need to delete that.

Thanks,
John

Temp files is all that should be refreshed, and usually I just hit shift+refresh on the browser a couple of times to clear the cached data.

I'm not sure why it would not work on this particular machine... seems very odd.

Interesting, I just tried the shift+refresh and it worked.

This was very wierd.

Thanks,

Ok I have had time to play with this issue, it looks like Phoenix Core Services is missing the file "resize.js" I have uninstalled and reinstalled Phoenix Core Services several times using start-restart of sagetv service and sagetv with the same results. Now what?

UPDATE:
I looked in the location that Phoenix was expecting to see the file and it was there, why can't Phoenix see this file?

Why do you thinkg resize.js is an issue? (I'm just curious). The UI would not be using that file and it's only used as a sample for providing server side image transformations. (so I don't think it would be an issue, even if that file didn't exist).

Did you try the shift+refresh from the browser? Also if you are going to reinstall phoenix, you'll need to do both phoenix-core and phoenix-api.

Because Sagetv system message says:

Warning Plugin Missing Installed File

The Plugin "Phoenix Core Services" is missing the file it installed of "C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\Phoeinx\ImageTransforms\reisze.js". If youre having issues with this plugin you should uninstall it and then intsall it again to correct the problem.

BTW: uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix the problem.

In SageTV menu Installed Plugins - Phoenix Core Services says "Failed" instead of "Installed".

If the plugin failed to isntall, then it's never going to work until that is resolved. Sometimes sagetv does have issues extracting plugins...so my suggestion would be...

uinstall phoenix-core and phoenix -api restart, and then install them again, then restart.

I guess, I'm asking... have you uninstalled just phoenix-core or phoenix-api and phoenix-core? Typically must extraction problems will be solved by installing both, and then reinstalling both.

Well, you have serious issues going on, that I can't possible help with. This isn't a phoenix/bmt/jetty issue... this is a general sagetv plugin issue

I'm not quite sure where you go from here.
