Smile Sage+ USB-UIRT+DTA minibox HELP! settings

I have SageTV version 6 and a PVR 350, Was planning on getting 7, but I guess I waited to late.
All was well in the world then the local cable company decided to "Drop" Analog. I went from over 40 channels to eventually 10, to none.
A PVR I can't use. I researched it and it seemed the best idea was to buy
USB-UIRT.I bought it, and went along the setup, but it didn't work.
Eventually I learned how to program my cable box DTA (minibox)
(Thiompson DCI1011)
I have tested the USB-UIRT unit, It does receive, and it does transmit
The problem is It's not configured correctly, but I don't know what settings
to use to make this work reliably.
for example for 27, it will change first to 2 then to 7.
nothing works correctly, and I have played with the delay settings, but so far no luck.

I am writing because I know someone out there is using SageTV+ USB-UIRT with a DTA (Minibox), and I could use all the advise you could give me let me know what works, what doesn't etc..
Thanks in advance ~ Patrick

a couple things

your v6 key will work with v7 (for free) check the software thread. narflex posted replacement .exe's to allow licensing.

the usb-uirt needs the beta drivers (also do search) to allow both transmit and receive, otherwise it only does one OR the other

i use this with a DTA and it never misses.

another question

Thanks for the info, I didn't know about the key for 6 working for 7. Was this always the case? or did someone change it after the aquisition of SageTV from
Google?

Does the beta drivers you are talking about for the USB-UIRT come from sagetv, or usb-uirt? I already installed the driver from usb-uirt, and I know it receives and transmits, because it was able to "Learn" my remote during setup.
and as stated it transmits changes but not configured correctly.

We may not have the same DTA, but would you mind going into the setup but since yours works, would you mind going into Setup video sources/source/Tuner control USB-UIRT/ Remote control options, and tell me what your settings are?
I'd like to try them out if see if they work for me
Thank you JPtheRipper
