Install Problem?

Hi all, I have a problem installing phoenix.

I followed the instructions and when I select the phoenix.xml file the UI tries to reload but the screen goes black. A null/null appears in the upper right hand corner. The diskusage can't update.

Anyone know what the problem is? I tried a second time and got the same result.

Thanks

Restart Sage or basically reboot your server.

I tried restarting and get the same result (just tried it again in fact).

I've tried to resintall Pheonix also and get the same result. I searched around a bit but can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem.

Also, the only other plug installed is pheonix fan art.

Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

I know Sean will pipe in here soon

I know it's not a requirement for Phoenix, but did you happen to install and configure BMT first? I remember having issues once where/when bmt wasn't installed first.

Just throwing that out there as something you might try.

Typically when you install phoenix you do need to restart the sagetv server before you load the ui.

So, try this.

Uninstall Phoenix UI and phoenix-core.
Restart sagetv server
Install Phoenix UI (which will also install phoenix core)
Restart sagetv server
In detailed setup, select Phoenix.xml

If this fails, then zip the sagetv_0.txt log file and log files in the logs directory and email them to metadatatools at gmail dot com.

Sean.

After a few more attempts at installing it I got it to stick. It didn't seem to like my system for whatever reason.

Thanks for your effort on Phoenix.

Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here on in... and hopefully the install pain will have been worth it
