No Background Fanart For Movies

Not sure when this started exactly but sagetv has stopped showing the fanart backgrounds for movies only. TV shows still work fine, and everything looks normal in BMT. I've tried removing and then refreshing fanart but no joy.

What plugin are you using to display background fanart?

Are you referring to the upper right thumbnail area or the whole background?

Phoenix Fanart (newer jrekiwi version for 7.1) displays BG fanart in the upper right corner, Diamond (v3.3) adds full BG fanart to the default "Videos" view. They can also coexist so you can install both and you won't have compatibility issues.

The plugin I'm using is the Phoenix Fanart for SageTV V7 by bialio, and yea I'm referring to the upper right area.
Also, not sure if this info helps, but the same issue occurs on another pc on the lan that is just running the client.

Is the fanart location set in the settings?

The posters would still show if there were moviename.jpg images saved with the movies.

Yep, the fanart location is set correctly. I don't keep any images saved with the video files.

If you're using SageTV 7.1, the "Phoenix Fanart for SageTV V7 by bialiio" plugin doesn't work particularly well..

Use "Phoenix Fanart for SageTV by JREkiwi" 1.0.3 which is a merge of bialios' plugin and tmirandas' "Phoenix Fanart for Malore Menus" and has fixes for SageTV 7.1

I decided to do a reinstall and start from scratch to see if things would go back to normal. Installed Sage, installed BMT, installed Phoenix Fanart for SageTV by JREkiwi. I agree the newer JREkiwi is a nicer plugin, with more options and stuff, but for whatever reason fanart backgrounds for movies still doesn't show.

I tried for many hours yesterday to see if I could find out why but no luck.

I can see that for some movies the backgrounds aren't displaying. I'll have a look into it.

I've updated the plugin with a fix for no backgrounds in the preview area for movies that do not have a category of Movie.
