Possible Fix for Movies Not Playing

I had the same problem that many people have reported -- that a small percentage of movies would not play in SMM. They show up in the menu, but when you click on them nothing happens.

For every one of these so far, here is the fix I found -- when I went back into the mymovies database, I found every single one of the offending movies had the "double-sided" option checked in the disk menu. Uncheck the box, save, and then rescan in sage and they work for me.

I have the issue with discs not playing and none of my offending movies have the double sided disc checked.

Does the disc contain the actual path to the movie?

Yes it does. It will display the movie as blank and show that the total play time is 0:00.
