How can I revert back to 20110114 firmware

I'm running the latest beta, but I have a problem and I'm told that 20110114 firmware is more stable.

But I have no idea how to go back to an older firmware.

any thoughts?

Thanks

So I cannot find the old firmware in the /tmp directory on the hd300. So I download it from sage. But now I cannot get it on to the the hd300. I tried using an ftp client to copy it over but the ftp client will not connect. I tried the port numbers from the hd300 manual, but still won't work.

so I copies the firmware to a usb and plugged it into the hd300. When I telnet to the hd300 I find under the external directory is the name of the usb. But it's named like pny usb pro (2gb).

when I try to change to it, I get an error on the "(" portion of the directory name.

any thoughts, it's driving me nuts!!!!

Thanks for any help.

ok, I was able to change to the directory.

When I run the updateflash util with the firmware I get "unable to unmount app: device or resources busy"

Any thought on this?

You go to the top level community page and look for "SageTV HD Theater - Media Player". Visit that page and then look for "SageTV STP-HD300 HD Theater Information Updates (Notifications only)". This will give you links to all of the versions of firmware used in the HD-300. There is a similar area for the HD-100 and HD-200.

Did you follow the instructions in the FAQ on updating the firmware via USB? The sticky is at the top of this forum.

Thank you for the help. I missed the one step of renaming the files. Been working at this DTS problem all week.

Thanks again

Sure did. I'm shocked sage support doesn't know about this. I did tell them now. But this is an old firmware.

Amazing huh, this issue with the latest firmware. I figured many would have been complain, but I guess not many use the HD audio.
