Recording extended stop time not working

I have discovered a problem with one of my recordings. On Sunday 8 to 9pm I am trying to record the Amazing Race. Due to football the show is always delayed, so in my settings for this favorite I have the stop time adding 45 minutes. On the same channel the next recording is The Good Wife (I forgot to add time to this recording, which I have corrected for next week). The problem is that sagetv is not adding the 45 minutes to the amazing race. When I look at the recording schedule it shows 8 – 9 Amazing Race 9-10 The Good Wife on the same tuner?? Is this a bug in sage that it is not looking at the extended 45 minutes for planning the recordings? For what it is worth at this point I have 4 HDhomerun tuners and they all have different encoder merits (this is a throw back from when I had analog tuners in the computer) Will changing all the tuners to the same merit help? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Also please note that all tuners are recording OTA on a single lineup. Could the favorite priority be coming into play? I would think that sage should look at the extended stop time and then put the next recording on another tuner. At the time this was recorded I had two tuners not recording anything.

Sounds like you have "Remove padding on back to back Favorites" enabled.

From the manual:

Quote:
Remove padding on back to back Favorites
Choose whether back to back Favorites that are on the same channel should have their overlapping padding removed. If padding is not removed, then such shows cannot be recorded by a single tuner; if there is only one tuner, overlapping Favorites on the same channel will generate a conflict, causing one to either be recorded at a later airing or not recorded at all.
