I would venture to guess besides the NIC driver maybe you also needed to add the SSD driver. I don't have any SSDs so I can't confirm. Or maybe it's a firmware issue. Basically the CDRestore is a PXe boot CD.

It saw the new drive and identified it ok and everything seemed to be fine until the restore got to 99%.

I've seen where other people had to set sata mode=ide in the BIOS of the PC to get it to work. Probably not what you really want.

I was thinking of upgrading to a new machine. I am on an older version as well. Would the best thing to do would be install the current version I am on to the new machine, copy the wiz.bin and then upgrade to retain all my stuff?

I just copied my existing SageTV folder to a backup location and then installed the upgrade. My wiz.bin remained intact and everything upgraded just fine.

Thanks. Same machine though, right? Maybe I'll install old, copy my folder over then upgrade. That would essentially be the same....I. think.

Be careful. What you don't want to do is use the same .properties file on the new machine. Hardware devices can (and probably will) have different device IDs.
