Slugger, would you please let me know you saw this?

Thank you

Now I've seen it. SageAlert questions should be posted here. I get email notifications of posts to that thread, not this one.

I have not seen the issue you're describing. In your web browser, load this URL:

Code:
http://192.168.0.1:8080/sagealert/view_mgr
Replace the ip and port as required for your system. That web page will dump a snapshot of the configured handlers for all event types. If the events that are sending two alerts have two handlers listed then that's the problem. Go to the web UI and fix that. If there's only one then I'd need to see the SageAlert logs to determine if it's SageAlert sending double alerts in error or if it's your email provider sending two emails for some reason.

I'll warn you that if it is a SageAlert bug that you've hit, it's not likely to be fixed. But I am willing to try and help determine the cause.

Please follow up in the SageAlert thread.

I'm having problems with some SJQ scripts so went for sagegroovy to try and sort, but am getting a can't find license file error. When I put back the old license file I get a message saying the email address doesn't match. Any fix for this given the license server EOL?

I never updated this when I removed the licensing. The simple fix is to take the salicense.jar file from your SageTV\JARs\ folder and copy it into SageGroovy's libs folder. That should fix it up.

Two reasons this is being done:

First, I'm getting ready to move and it's time to start packing up the office so the server hosting the PayPal payment processor/license file generator app needs to be taken offline. Either way it was going to have to be offline for at least a week, maybe longer. I'd rather be able to just pack it up now and not have to scramble if someone needed a license regenerated.

Second, the original reason for this licensing way back when was to offset expenses associated with my development of this project. When my level of development effort dropped due to Google's takeover, I simply made the license a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. Well, given that my level of dev effort has only continued to drop over the last year and I expect it to drop off even more, I've just decided to end the licensing altogether. New users looking for a license are now instead encouraged to make a donation directly to the Canadian Cancer Society (yes, believe it or not, I tend to get about 1 new license purchase per month).

So effective immediately, the PayPal processor/license generator app has been taken offline. The PayPal button to purchase licenses has been deleted at PayPal and will no longer accept payments. Once I get no feedback with problems concerning the updated plugin, I will destroy my purchase database of previous donators/purchasers. The db will probably be destroyed shortly after I bring the server back online at my new house.

Again, thanks to all those who have donated over the years! Your support is appreciated.
Note that my database of purchasers/donators will be destroyed on or before Sun, Oct 27, 2013. As a reminder, this database only ever contained the following information:

1) The PayPal email address used to pay with
2) The PayPal transaction ID of your purchase/donation
3) The date the payment notification was received by my processor servlet
4) The license type(s) you paid for

The db and all backups of it will be destroyed by Oct 27. This effectively ends my ability to generate replacement license files for anyone. Of course, license files are not required anymore and I've had no one raise issues with that so I don't believe this to be a problem going forward.
