Metadata in french

Is there any way i can get metadata for my movie collection in another language than english since my native language is french and it's easier for my wife to read a french description of a movie ?

There is an outstanding issue related to multiple languages. While the TV metadata engine allows for multiple languages, I've yet to add that ability to the themoviedb engine.

The killing question do you have a timeframe for that since i got a pretty big movie collection and will have to do it manually through BMT if i can get the metadata automaticaly in french ?

My SageTV development has pretty much stopped. Mainly because I have a several other projects on the go, that are not SageTV related. I can't even give an estimate. I do plan on spending a few month doing some Phoenix/BMT enhancements, but that won't start for a few more months.

Would be great if this feature is added to Phoenix & BMT - I would like to fetch the metadata in german from TheMovieDB and TheTvDB.

The TheTvDB already has locale support. Just go into BMT web ui, and Configure -> Phoenix -> TheTVDB and set the local to 'de'.

TheMovieDB (v3) does have locale support, but, it's now enabled via the web ui, but you can set it manually via, the Sage.properties.

1. Shut down SageTV server
2. Edit Sage.properties
3. add

phoenix/metadata/tmdb3/language=de

4. start sagetv and test in BMT using the TMDB3 provider

Unfortunatly there is no option in Web UI (see attached screenshoot) - maybee I'm evaluating P2. Is it possible to configure this manually via the Sage.properties ?

That might be a browser issue You can try another browser and see what happens, since there should be a single field for language. Or, you can manually add the following property to your Sage.properties.
