Why does BMT Consider this a Movie?
I have a recording in C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV.. Why does BMT treat it as a movie? Is there to have BMT consider these as TV?
C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\Law & Order Criminal Intent\Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus.wtv Any Help Appreciated.

ie, search for "Law & Order Criminal Intent" on tvdb and see that it fails. Then search for "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (note the colon) and then try again. it works. There is very little that BMT can do in this case, but you can add an entry to the MediaTitles.xml to map "Law & Order Criminal Intent" to "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" or the specifc tvdb id 71489. As for why it becomes a movie. It's the "fallback" for ALL media scraping. ie, BMT will first attempt all the TV scrapers and if it DOESN'T get match, then it will use the MOVIE scrapers and if it still doesn't get a match, then it just ends up as a Movie type. While there are probably some better ways to handle this... nothing is likely to change in the near or long term

This is what I did in C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\userdata\Phoenix\scrapers\MediaTitles.xml ... and it still fails. Can you look at my code below if I can get 1 to work I can do all the other Law and Orders and CSI. I am using 64 bit...
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE titles> <titles> <match> <regex>[\\/]Law & Order Criminal Intent</regex> <title>Law & Order: Criminal Intent</title> <metadata type="TV" name="tvdb">7149</metadata> </match> </titles> Code:
2012-05-28 13:42:07,863 - AUTO; MEDIA; C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\Law & Order Criminal Intent\Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus.wtv; Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus; 96950 2012-05-28 13:42:08,083 - ERROR; C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\Law & Order Criminal Intent\Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus.wtv; Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus; 96950; Metadata lookup failed for Law & Order Criminal Intent - Maledictus

I'd need to see the phoenix.log as well, since this just shows that it tried and failed, but the phoenix log should show me more details on what it got after scraping, etc.
You can email me the phoenix log at metadatatools at gmail dot com.

Stuckless,
You are not going to believe this but now it works maybe something wrong with tvdb at the time. Thanks for your patience.

Glad, it's working. Maybe phoenix hadn't reloaded the new mediatitles when you tried it last. (or I'm happy to blame tvdb as well )

Yeah, Sean's right, TheTVDB's search engine is awful. Maybe there's an easy way to work around it with a google search
