Anyone experiencing problems with latest Windows XP update?

I had been experiencing tremendous sluggishness watching via my HD 300 the last several days. The symptoms include sluggish UI and video stuttering. I tried rebooting the server, changing wireless channels, (the HD 300 is connected wirelessly) checked network wireless throughput with Jperf, checked hard drives, no luck. I then checked Windows updates and noticed that the symptoms appeared when Windows XP update (KB2718074) was installed on June 5. I uninstalled the update and it's back to normal. Anyone else have trouble with this update? I haven't updated to the latest Java if that's relevant. I believe the update has something to do with certificate spoofing.

I am runni xp sp3 on my server, which is up to day on patches and such, I have not noticed any sluggishness at all....

The problem came back, so it's not the update. I'm trouble shooting networking issues; relocating the wireless router seems to help which is strange since it's been working in the same location for almost two years. I have a feeling it may be congestion on the wireless channel as I live in a densely populated section of Queens, NY.

Good thinking; new APs get added all the time -- could be as simple as channel interference/overcrowding.
