clear phoenix cache

I've noticed that the cache for phoenix is growing quite large on all my software clients and my server.

It doesnt seem like it cleans up... is there a setting somewhere for automatic cleanup after some period or size?

If I want to manually clear the cache what is the best way to do that?

Thanks in advance.

The Cache (fanart cache) is never cleaned out, but the metadata caches are cleaned out daily. The cache directory will definately grow over time, but the latest change to the phoenix fanart (using jpgs instead of pngs) should cut the size a lot.

You can manually clear the cache by deleting the userdata/Phoenix/cache/ directory and then things will get rebuilt as needed.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately I cannot move to the latest yet until the problem with the SageTV Clients gets resolved...

That was from the old Phoenix version where after installation it would sit blank spinning...

I believe it was fixed in Phoenix Core 2.5.0:

Phoenix 2.5.0 Update (api, core, and UI)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This morning I rolled out Phoenix 2.5.0 (which does not include the P2 stuff)...

This release provides an updated Phoenix STV and Core/Api libraries.

In terms of the STV, the main change is that Brian fixed (I think) the issue that plagued some users whereby phoenix would fail to start on a new install (just black screen with spinning cursor)
I have been trying P2 on one of my software clients... so far no such issues.
