DigiGuide DVB-S Auto Config

Hi I'm looking for private beta testers to test my program

Introduction

'DigiGuide DVB-S Auto Config' is a program that will automatically create DVB-S Frequency Files from your DigiGuide setup with the option to configure DVBLogic.

All that is needed is to add a channel into DigiGuide and it will configure the following automatically

Channel Name
Channel Numbers
XMLTV lineup.xml file
SageTV Frq Files
DVBLogic xml files
Create Channel Logos*

If a channel is added, removed, renamed, number changed or frequency changed all will automatically updated**.

This will save many hours of pain matching Frq files with DigiGuide and XMLTV. DVBLogic can take hours to configure and that is just for one tuner

Credit goes to Oddity for pointing out EPG Collecter and routerunner for DVB-S Importer that give me the idea and inspiration to write this code.

Sorry it’s taken so long to release this as I wrote 80% of the code between Christmas and New Year. Then the last 20% at Easter. But then again it is my first ever attempted at writing a program.

Dean

*Still in alpha stage as it currently uses the Logos from DigiGuide. More details to follow.
**Please note the changes will not appear in the SageTV EPG until ‘DigiGuide DVB-S Auto Config’ and XMLTV Importer has been run.

As per routerunners announcement about a satellite moving from 28.2 to 28.9 might effect his DVB-S importer.

This will also effect my Utility as they both use the King Of Sat website. It has already effected none BBC Radio channels as per my logs this morning and they all being removed from my lineup. (Well it shows my Code works)

It is an easy fix to make but because I'm still in private beta I'm going to wait.

My reasons for this are:-

The move might just be temporary.

As the satellite is 12 years old it might be about to be switched off and channels moved. Which my Utlity will automatically pick up

It might just be the King Of Sat site not being updated.

I will monitor this over the next few days and provide an update if it starts to effect more channels

Dean

Oh and if you read or hear in the news about a satellite being out of control and crashing to earth. You read it here first
