SHS, you seem to be in contact with Hauppauge frequently. Have you had an opportunity to contact them to see if there is anything that can be done? I realize this was targeted as a gaming device, but there is no reason why a capable device can't do double duty.

If that is not the case can ask the dev for a doc, pdf info on pining this

2: Will this device support Video Scalar at some point in the near future ?.
3: Will Hauppauge Capture SteamEez be support at some point in the near
future ?.
4: Will WinTV be support at some point in the near future ?.
5: Will this device get reprogramed App to store like let say the Bitrate
and so on in stand along mode?.

What I go back so far
1: Wait for a reply back.
2: Wait for a reply back.
3: No plans at this time.
4: No plans at this time.
5: You run Hauppauge Capture set it where you want it will automatic save the setting to the device.

You know what, forget it. I now see in Hauppauge's product comparison chart that this device is not capable of 5.1 channel audio. That's quite a situation after their own product page claims "HD Audio and Video"

There no board SPDIF optical audio input so can't record DD 5.1 with HDMI doesn't always work with AC3 beside it only about maybe 10% of the show air 5.1 the other 90% are just stereo.

I personally have so many issues with 5.1 and other Hauppauge PVR's maybe that's for the best.

I guess that's why I've stuck with the 1212 for so long, and after packing this Rocket thing up and returning it to Best Buy, I'll continue to stick with the 1212 - it has pretty much none of the problems the other units seem to experience (and 5.1 audio to boot).

100% of the TV shows that I record have 5.1 channel audio. How it got to 5.1 channel could be questioned I suppose.

I really had some high hopes for the device. In hindsight, I'm not sure why.

Hauppauge Rocket

Has anyone gotten the Rocket 1530 to work with Sage? I saw it on sale today at Best Buy with a 15 day return policy so I thought I would give it a try but I haven't started just yet.

Yeah, it would be great if it could be used (as some have done with the Colossus or HD-PVR) to bring in a Chromecast stream into a custom channel you create in Sage. Or even to bring in a feed from a security camera or some such.
