Can HD300 play media off USB stick or drive?

Can HD300 play media off the usn port on the back?

If so what format and how do i play back?

On Page 8 state that it can support media from USB drive and on page 9 .ts is one of the supported format but it not seeing my USB when I plug it in.

You may already be aware of this, but it can only play from the USB stick in stand-alone mode, not when connected to a SageTV Server.

Yes I knew that,

I had a presentation last night which was a video and I didn't want to trancode a HD video into a losser compression so a laptop could playback smoothly. Also I didn't feel like carrying a bunky laptop either.

it was easier to use extender and hook it up then insert USB with the HD video to play the video so I have a remote and a easy way to pause or go back on the HD video during the. presentation

HD video I had was more than 3Gig and couldn't be copied to a FAT32 disk so I tried the exFAT first and SageTV wouldn't recognized it so I reformatted it to NTFS and it worked.

The video playback smoothly and awesome from a USB formatted with NTFS.
