Can't play DVD from drive

I just upgraded my box to Windows 7 and Sage 7 and overall I'm very happy with everything. The only real problem I've found so far is that I can't play a DVD that is in the drive. If I'm reading Andy's most excellent manual properly, I should find it on the video screen and with options selected "Play DVD" should be under "Folder". It's MIA. Sage has been told that we have a DVD player in setup, and Windows can see the disk in the player and identify it. I've searched a bit for the answer, but haven't found one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you play the DVD in Windows Media Player? Do you have the Microsoft DVD decoder selected in the setup?

It's not on the Options panel of the Video screen, it's on the Main Menu in the Videos category. Use right arrow (not Enter) on the Videos item to activate the flyout submenu, where you should see Play DVD under Folders.

This is a common newbie confusion with the V7 Main Menu. Enter and right arrow do not mean the same thing (although many of us think they should).

Well, I'm embarrassed. Except for the settings which does open the flyout with "enter", I completely overlooked it. Most of the stuff that's on those, I went to directly with my remote or didn't use.
