Suddenly having problems getting EPG data

I'm running on v9 with my v7 key installed as an environment variable. I've been able to get EPG but today I noticed that my guide data ends today. I turned on debug and forced an EPG scan and this is what I saw:

Repeated errors in communicating with server :java.io.EOFException
Seems odd that the last two lines appear without a timestamp. Also shows scannedUntil Sun 8/17 which I'm guessing is back in August.

Also, I tried adding another source and going through the gui and for every zip code I try I get a message saying:

Quote:
There was an error connecting to the SageTV Server. Please be sure your Internet connection is established and that you have entered the correct Zip/Postal Code.
I am remoting in from work so I know the Internet is working fine.

Any idea on what might be causing this and how I might resolve this? Thanks!

*EDIT* Edit to say that I've tried the things in http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...4&postcount=29 and still no luck.

*EDIT2* Here's a copy of my Sage.properties via pastebin: http://pastebin.com/jMWMYzmC

Couldn't figure it out. Dropped all my tuners and tried readding one and still couldn't get data from EPG server. I uninstalled Sage, reinstall v7, upgraded to v9, readded my tuners and now things are working again.

Same thing happened to me as well when I was using V9 and I had to go back to V7 as well.

I even tried refreshing the guide data on V9 a few times with the Sage TV Web interface but it never worked.

I think the problem is with the intructions I followed to make my sage user key a global variable in windows 10 64 bit that I use as I did what the instructions said but for some reason it did not work.

Maybe it was due to the key I used was my upgrade key from version 6 to 7 and maybe I was supposed to use a non upgrade key but it never said a thing on that anywhere i looked

I did use an upgrade v7 key. I'm not sure that that's the problem though as I would imagine that you wouldn't get any guide data at all if the EPG server didn't like the key.

Depending on when he did the upgrade, the EPG data he had could have been a holdover from his SageTV7 install.

Very true. I, on the other hand, was coming from a fresh install on a new machine. Initially, I had guide data but then for whatever reason, I wasn't able to get EPG updates. I think I've figured out the culprit.

I checked this morning to see if my guide data was updating and found the same errors I listed before. I decided to turn off the sage service and try updating and low and behold it worked. I'm going to run like this for a couple of days just to be sure, but I think it's something to do with the service being screwy. I'm not running as a user so that may be part of the problem too.

I've changed to 'Run Service As User' and am back to running as a service. My EPG updates are working again without error. I'll continue like this for a while and report back.

I don't know if this is a bug or a problem isolated to me, but it is odd that trallyus is having the same type of problem.

Not sure if this is interesting or valuable info but I was having Sage Server availability error messages yesterday running V7, SageDCT and HDHR Prime tuner. Could not download the channel lineups when adding a tuner. I had been trying to update the Prime tuner's firmware and apply the .reg fix for SageDCT.

The problem went away after I stopped the Sage service (again), went back to SageDCT configuration (again), rescanned and recreated the assignments (again) and re-updated the Sage properties file. Started Sage and it all works. I think, in my case, there was some error in the tuner properties data that were corrected on a new scan.

The Sage Guide gods were finicky yesterday.

Just writing to confirm that running service as a user has been working flawlessly.
