Question Xfinity TV App

Does anyone have Comcast and is using the Xfinity TV app?

I can not get it to run on the Nexus Player.

Thanks,
John

I have it running on he shield you have to side load the TV2GO. It ill run on the Nexus Player but you need a mouse to navigate it is easier on the Shield because the controller acts as a mouse (right Thumb Button and A Button). No way to sign in without the mouse.

I have a Harmony Keyboard linked to the Nexus Player, so I have a mouse and keyboard.

I tried side loading the both the TV and TV2GO app and neither one works. The TV app just crashes and never opens. I can login to the TV2GO app, but when I try to play anything it crashes.

Are your Nexus players on Android 7.0 Nougat that killed a lot of apps including the HdHomerun View program that does DRM.

I will dust of my Nexus player and see if it still works. I know it works perfectly on the Shield and used to work on Android 6.

Did you have a chance to see if the Xfinity App works on your Nexus Player?

Thanks,
John
