Error playing imported recording

I have just create an new machine running the latest version of SageTv (SageTV 9.0.13.536) all is working correctly (Recording , playing movies from my library).

But I keep old recording from my old Sage TV (9.0.10.467). I cannot play any of those recording. When I start playing any recording the cursor is in the middle and the duration of the recording is wrong.

Any help ?

I have include my sage_0.txt log file ( Look for "Cardinal" or "Les pays d'en haut" )

I don't know how to fix this but I saw something similar yesterday. I copied a recording from my V7 server to my new V9 server and the timeline was screwed up.

I have seen something similar on V7 for shows that I just recorded.

Can you post the logfile from when SageTV imports one of these recordings? Something does look wrong with the metadata regarding is timing.

For some weird reason it appears as if the timestamps on the files are off by an hour...which is falling within the margin that's disabling correction. Can you try copying one of these files over to Linux, then using the 'touch <filename>' command to make the timestamp current, and then importing it to see if it's fine then?

If that doesn't work right, please post the log again so i can see what's happening...but it should log something extra in that case where its indicating it is going to fix the file timestamps so things align more properly.

AS was able to correct the problem by touch...ing all the old recordings. I cannot see way this happens. the old and new machine are Hyper-V machine running on the same server. and their clock time are the same.

Now if found another problem all the Movies cannot be fast forward or skip (10 sec). the progress bar is white and the cursor is at the end (see the snapshot)

Is it possible the error could be a timezone setting or DST being applied when it shouldn't so that conversion from UTC time to local time was being done incorrectly?

If i check the clock on the new machine I got :

gilles@SageTV:~$ sudo hwclock --show
Tue 14 Feb 2017 04:21:01 PM EST -1.053218 seconds

And on the old machine :

gilles@SageTVSrv:~$ sudo hwclock --show
Tue 14 Feb 2017 04:21:06 PM EST -1.043625 seconds

So I think the clocks are set on the same time zone

I'm not sure exactly why the hour difference happened...it is definitely weird.

The movie problem looks like it probably didn't parse their format properly. That's usually caused by a missing dependency for FFMPEG. So try invoking the ffmpeg in the SageTV folder and see why it's not running and fix that problem. If it's not that, then you probably just need to do a full reimport of the movies (in Detailed Setup->Advanced->Reindex Library Files or something like that)
