Android MiniClient Control?

Is it possible to start the SageTV app on an Android device via IP? You can control an extender via a telnet session, is there anything similar to Android so that you could have it start and automatically enter the SageTV app, and have it connect to a specific server?

I would guess yes since Android is so open and customizable. But I don't think there is anything built into the Mini-client that would allow itself to bring it back to the forefront or launch - I don't even know if an app can "refocus" itself without having very high privileges.

You need to research online "remotely launch app android". For example, I found this post in SmartThings that may offer some clues.

If you just want SageTV to fire up any time the box is powered on, and don't need the box itself otherwise controlled over IP, you can also accomplish it with an app called "Launch On Boot" - should be in the Play Store.
