How to play program at beginning while being recorded
Okay, guys, I'm recording an nfl game and 30 minutes into the recording, I want to start watching from the beginning and not jump into what is being recorded at the moment.
Is there anyway to play the recording from the very beginning of a program that is still being recorded? thanks.

See Quickly skipping to start of recording? How?. Essentially: it should start from the beginning when you initiate playback of any show.

Thanks, Andy. I'll give the time scroll a try...I think that it plays from where the recording is at and not at the beginning when I play on the client on via my mvp. In the link you provided, it seems that whether I leave the client in sleep mode or just turn the tv off may make a difference. I'll try them.
