It's probably best to make copies of the images rather than renaming the originals.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure how to rename it so it keeps the / as that is a symbol that Windows doesn't allow within file names.

I even tried to force it by putting quotes around the name and it was a no go. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks...

You either just remove it or put in a space. I cannot remmeber where I last left it. Make sure you restart Sage to get the images to reload.

Hi mlbdude

Not a bug but would like improving please.

When doing a search under music is there anyway you can set the default cursor to SEARCH instead of 0. If you are using a keyboard (or Philips Pronto) and press enter it inputs 0 instead of doing a seach. The same happens then seaching under tv progs. Hope you under stand what I mean.

Hope I`am not pushing it here. Is there away you can make the Main Screen power button run this prog www.budja.com/shutdown (or run a script) so that you can put the PC into standby. Currently have this setup in other prog.

Did I say that this is the best STV by far.

Thanx Dean

all I did was just paste the name, ignore the error, and leave it as is. Then reloaded sage as mlbdude said and it worked perfect.

shuttle oddities

I've just installed this stv and really enjoy the UI.

The implementation is nice, but I'm having trouble with usability.

Is it just me or does the shuttle feature not work during playback?
I see the current progress but am unable to move playback around
manually (from keyboard, I'm using a laptop as a client v2.2.8).

Also, if I pause from the playback bar, the play button is disabled(IE no resume playing), though I can resume playing from the previous screen (alt-left arrow).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Karl

EDIT: okay i found in the manual i can skip small increments forward (cntl-f) and back (cntl-a). large increments forward (cntl-f8) and back (cntl-f7). as for pause/play toggle it's cntl-shift-s. but those features don't work via the mouse.

This STV is designed to work with a remote. You can be successfull with a keyboard though.

REQUEST: Selecting Series by Channel.

Is it possible to add the ability to record Series (favorites) from more than one channel..

Currently the Series Setting Options only allow me to pick one channel. If I can't have more than one can we have an option to NOT record from a specific channel?

Regards
Dave.

By default when you choose Series recording it will record the program from any channel at any time. Look at the Series settings after you choose to Record Series.

And if you want more than one channel, but not all you just need to set up multiple favorites, one for each channel (that's a SageTV limitation/feature AFIAK).

Unfortunately this is the way I have been doing it. What I have found is that if I have two different sets of Series settings for a show, (each on a different channel) that I don't dependablely get the file management options (keep until I delete). Something goes wrong here. Sometimes they will be kept other times they get deleted. I was hoping that if you could specfiy a series with say two channels to record from that the management options would work.

Oh Well...

You might want to start a new thread about the odd KAM/Delete behavior you're seeing. It could be a missunderstanding or a bug.

Each Fav will manage only its own recordings, so if the channel 5 Fav keeps 2 copies and the channel 42 Fav keeps 2 copies, you should end up with 4 total. If autodelete is off for a fav, sometimes the limit can be exceeded when the schedule isn't updated before extra ones get recorded. (But, yeah, beyond that we probably shouldn't clutter up this thread with these details, since it is core-specific instead of specific to this STV. )
