Winnov 1000?

I have a Winnov 1000 capture card I was hoping to use with sagetv... doesn't look promising so far. Is there any chance of this working, or will I have to get something specifically supported by STV?

After looking at their website (I hadn't heard of that card before) it looks like that's just a plain jane capture card. No tuner or anything. And no hardware compression. I think you are S.O.L.

Sage requires a capture card / tuner that is capable of hardware mpeg2 encoding. The Hauppauge cards are the most widely supported but pretty much any conextant based card should work... in theory...

I believe it does do hardward mpeg2 encoding, but you are right, it does not have a tuner. It does not even show up as a selectable device. It is pretty old though. It was originally purchased for capturing a satellite tv channel, and streaming it over the web several years ago....
