Wiki database locked

Yep, I second this report. Looks like main page is good, but I checked several subpages and all failed. I suspect all are dead. Database locked. Guess I won't be importing that dynamic customizable menu import tonight. Probably should go to bed anyway! ;-)

Just making sure -- Is this the next version of comskip_pb_imp_edl_mod117a1.zip or a new development?

davidk21770, this is the next version. Didn't make sense to keep calling it comskip edl when it can now use either .edl or .txt files. Probably best to move any discussion over here.

Angry

hopefully this has been addressed elsewhere and I just missed it....

I just installed the beta 14 and tried to import the DCMM stvi and get the following screen....

Failed to load XML menu file
menu file=[path to "default_menu_V6_0.xml"]

Reload menu file
Load alternate menu definition file
Load default menu file for Sage V6.0
Fall back to standard Sage menus

Errors:
Invalid top level node version: 1.3
when parsing default_menu_V6_0.xml

did i miss something or have i gotten a corrupt v5.4 stvi package?

Edit: just tried it on the 15beta and got the same error.

Edit2: went in and deleted the properties file just in case. even tried renaming "default_menu_v6_0.mxl" to "menu.xml" still no luck. I know I saw that other people are using this plugin on v6.

Disk Space

Hi Neil,

Thanks again for such a great plug-in.

I find that now 75% of everything I record is HD so the free disk space is off by quite a bit since I assume your code is looking at what the default encoder quality is in sage.

In your next version could you possibly add an option on the disk space to allow an override so that I could have it show me the available disk space if it were to assume xx Mb/s?

Since HD is about 3 times SD, it would show a more accurate disk space (I use Hours) readout.

thanks,

stacy

I had a similar problem and found that the SageMenu.dtd file had magically disappeared from the SageTV directory.

It's already there: If an airing is HDTV, it assumes a fixed bitrate (specified in the options, defaulting to 15Mb/s). I have never been able to test it though (as I don't have hdtv). Try playing with this value and see how it affects the upcoming recordings space reqd.

(Either Click on disk space bar, then select Options,
or Options to brink up dynamic menu popup; Options; Disk space detailed info ; Options)

sounds like for some reason your jar file is an old version. try shutting down sage and re-unpacking the zip file.

You need to delete the net/sf subdirectory under sage install directory

neil,

Doesn't that have to do with how much FUTURE recordings are going to use? I was looking for something that would show how much free space there is, and it can either use the default encoding rate in sage (which I think it does now) or a fixed bit rate. I have already been using what's there now and it's great, it's just that I'd like it to show me how many hours are available assuming everything's recorded in HD.

For instance, I do have the HD rate set to 17Mb/s now. And it will accurately show future recordings using the correct bitrates. But right now it says 109 hrs free, but this is assuming 5Mb/s becuase that's the DVD Long Play that I've set for analog encoders. If I record one HD show, then it will not show 108 hrs, it will show 106 hours.

I'm just looking for it to show that I REALLY have 36 hours of recording (assuming all HD) instead of 109 hrs.

I hope I'm making sense....

Stacy

yeah, sorry, I get you now... I will put something in when I get a chance. Note that unless you ask Opus4 nicely, it will not change the disk space bar that is part of the hidden extras in the default STV

I am using the latest 6 beta (15) and dynamic menus 5.4 and found a couple of bugs.

1) if I use the mass stvi importer, it will hang Sage if dynamic menus is in plugins.cfg.

2) So I manually imported this stvi into Sage and found that the green power button no longer works correctly. Once I press the power button on my 45 button remote, it will bring up Sage's screen saver but if I press it again - the screen saver will remain never to wake up. I have to kill Sage at this point to get my screen back.

can you post the plugins.cfg file -- it is most likely a conflict between 2 plugins -- seel also JREKiwi's post above about a bug in an older version of the comskip stvi which can trigger this.

It could be related to the same problem: when you wake it up, does the screen saver freeze? Do other commands such as TV (ctrl-V) work?

the stvi importer hung on the non-spinning logo, but after I restarted Sage things appear to be working as intended. your idea appears to have worked. thanks.

I am using the latest comskip code from JREKiwi (1.2.2)

My plugins.cfg:

comskip_playback.stvi
MultiFunctionStop_import.stvi
multispeed_skip_import.stvi
miniguide_plugin_0_96.stvi
imdb_search_import.stvi
rssnews_import.svi
IntelligentSuggestions.stvi
SageTV3_FM_Radio_0.14.stvi
SageTV_otherPrograms_v1_2_2.stvi
SageTV_DVD_Burning.stvi
#Detailed_Info_import_0_85.stvi
Add_Airings_to_Basic.stvi
Close_Media_File.stvi
slimplayer-1.1.stvi
#dynamic_menu_import.stvi

I know there is a lot there but I have also tried with a much smaller subset. Currently I am running without dynamic menus until the problem can be figured out.

If I understand the question correctly, with dynamic menus in place when I restart Sage everything works ok. Even if Sage goes into standby, the green power button will work. But if I press it again to put it to sleep. The system will hang at the screensaver. I cannot use any keys nor mouse nor any button on the remote to wake it up. I must kill the SageTV process to recover.

dblaine2, make sure that you have the latest versions of Add_Airings_to_Basic.stvi and Close_Media_File.stvi from here, as both had problems with earlier versions causing this problem.

The imports were not deleting a ghost Main Menu that is created as part of the import process and on occasions you would end up on the blank main menu rather than the real one. Sorry

John

Hi John,

Yes I already had the latest of both of these. I also tried importing dynamic menu plugin without either of these plugins - Same issue.

I'm not sure if this is an option I'm missing of if it isn't there.

Is there anyway to show on the current & upcoming recordings widget to show that it is recording a HDTV show?

If not, I think that'd be a great feature and would love to see it possibly in a future version.
