Is it possible to create a link directly to one of the SageTV Online Services "buttons"? When I right-click (or hit "options" on the Extender") on any of these buttons, it just gives me the stock video menu options, not the DCM menu where I could "copy" the path.
Specifically, I am looking for the "Weather" button. It may be easiest (on me, at least ) if someone could just post the path to it, that I could copy and paste into the "create new"... Thanks!

Alright, since no one jumped in to answer my post above this one, I will take a stab at it and see it I am right...
Trying to answer my question above, I found the spot in nielm's wiki about adding a link directly to a podcast listing. Since that's taking you to one of the Online Services "buttons", I was thinking that maybe the same thing would work for the "Weather" button (since it's in that same menu). I just replaced the title of another "button" with "Weather". I'm not at home to try this out, but would this work, if I pasted it in as a "new" menu item elsewhere? Code:
<internalScreenMenuItem screen="Online Video SHORTCUT" title="Weather"> <evalExpression>AddStaticContext("OnlineVideoType","xPodcastWeather")</evalExpression> </internalScreenMenuItem>

"Weather" is a separate menu, not a podcast.

Why not just add a new internal screen tied to "Weather"? Maybe I am missing something?

If someone could post that screen name (in the SageTV code), I could plug it into the "create new menu itemlet" instructions in the wiki... but I asked for that above and no one helped... ...so I thought I would ask whether this "alternate" method would work. And from PolyPro's post, sounds like it will, even though it's not a podcast.

"Weather" is the menu name. Edit: Doesn't it present a list of internal menu names you can link to?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I performed the action from the main menu in SageTV. Do not attempt from the Online services menu. See attached screen.

If it's there... well, can I get an emoticon for sheepishly slinking away with egg on my face? I guess this or this will have to do...

Can't install dynamic menus on 6.4.5 client
I recently created a new Sage client installation using the 6.4.5 beta. When i installed and imported the dynamic menu STVi I get a message that sage can't load the newly created xml and i have to revert back to the standard xml.
At work right now, i will post a capture of the error screen when i get home tonight. Has anyone done a fresh install of dynamic menus on Client 6.4.5? It appears that a number of users have been able to upgrade, but probably not from a fresh install. I will try tonight to downgrade to a previous release to see if that solves the problem. Any help or info on this issue would be apriciated. |

I'm trying to use this with the latest 6.4.6 beta. When I add it to the stvi manager (the only thing in the list) and exit the manager, it asks to rebuild then almost immediately I get a window titled "Unknown" with an ok button and it never installs. It also seems to block everything below it (I haven't tried them without this since I always load it 1st anyway).

"Refresh" Notification Broken
In 6.4.8, the notification when the Library Scan is complete is not popping up. Anyone else seeing this? Nielm, is it an easy fix?

To clarify: is the current version of this STVi (100%) compatible with the new 6.4.8 release of Sage? I live by this plugin, but didn't think about the ramifications when I updated the server last night...
Probably not a big deal, but I do recall seeing new templates available after updates. If not, any plans? Thanks! Last edited by Tomahawk51; 08-21-2008 at 08:40 AM. |

99.9% working here, just the little thing mentioned above. I agree, Sage should pay nielm and make this OEM

Did you have to load the updated JAR as mentioned in Andy's post #472?

The notify check mark is working for me. Keep in mind if you ever loaded SageMC it actually loads an older version of nielm's jar file for the menu. Make sure you stop Sage and use the jar file from the Dynamic menu zip.
