DVD playback annoyances
Three annoyances with DVD playback from the hard drive.
1) After copying a DVD to my hard drive it shows up under "imported videos" and plays fine. However, when I try to delete it through Sage, it will not delete. I assume Sage just doesn't know how to remove a whole folder since it usually only deals with an individual .mpg or .avi, file. 2) The length of DVD movies is always reported as 0 mins. 3) Sage can't playback DVD .iso files with the internal DVD player. Yeah, there is a workaround if you are willing to buy an external DVD player but this should just work with the internal one. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14672 Also, it used to work in Cayars old STV. Could an STVI be made to fix all these DVD problems? |

1) I just want to do it from inside Sage! In fact, ideally I shouldn't ever have to go get a mouse and keyboard to do anything in Sage. Especially something as simple as deleting a file.
Since you asked, I am converting all my parents old VHS home videos over to DVD then adding the good ones to Sage. I don't have enough space to hold them all at once so I am frequently loading and deleting them. 2) What STV or import are you using to get the video library with the DVD info and correctly displayed movie length? I like it! 3) Again, I don't want to have to drop out of Sage to mount/unmount an iso image every time I want to play a movie. I am annoyed that the new Sage can't mount them then play them, especially since this worked in an old STV over a year ago. |
