Theatrix 550 Pro problem - Sage TV Recorder Problem

Hi

I just repalced my Hauppauge WinTV 250 with a Sapphire Theatrix 550 Pro TV card.

Sage TV Recorder was working fine the the 250. Sage TV recorder starts fine, but when i click on preview button i get the following error.

THere was a problem utilizing the sagetv directshow filers.
Unable to connect to the mpeg2 pin of the capture filer to dump the filter
errcode=0x80070491

I have tried all the video decoders that are listed and its always the same. I haven't been able to find any answers on this forum so far.

Any assistance would be greatful.

That card doesn't appear to be supported by SageTV Recorder (System Requirements for SageTV Recorder). You will need to get SageTV for your Sapphire Theatrix 550 Pro TV card (System Requirements for SageTV).

DOH! My bad, when i was reading that Sage TV supported the 550 Pro chip I was obviously reading it for the wrong product!

ViDi0T take note that Sage TV Recorder is not support only SageTV
For SageTV besure you download the latest drivers from ATI web site.

I am going to return the Sapphire 550 card. I tried Sage TV and it does way more than i want or need and I will not pay that amount of money for the software. All i need is a simple TV viewing and recording program like Sage TV Recorder. Its unfortunate that Sage has opted not to continue with developemnent of that product.
