I still think it would be nice to have a volume bar on the web radio screen, similar to the FM radio import. It would be a nice addition to the "now playing" screen as well.

OK. Recreated the Stations.txt file. No luck. Reverted to the original STV and the Web radion stvi. Same thing, screens but no stations.

Thinking I must be inept, I tried the installation on my other client PC and Viola!!! ITS ALIVE!!!

Back to diagnosing my main client... Confirmed that all .jar files are the same size and vintage. I don't know what else to do.

This is soooo cool that I MUST get it working. Any other suggestions?

Are you sure that they are both using the save version of Java? You can check the Java version through the Windows Control Panel. One or two Sage releases had a 1.5.X before switching back to 1.4.x.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

I thought I had been keeping the software updates in sync, but I had Java1.5 on one machine (the one that didn't work) and 1.4 on the other.

Way to go Morgan

Now I just have to find some other stations. Can anyone recomend go classic rock stations?

Hey, glad I could help.

Here are a couple of classic rock stations on my list

.977 The Classic Rock Channel, http://64.236.34.97:80/stream/1023
NETCLASSIX - Rock from 60's 70's 80's, http://67.43.161.248:86

Feel like a laugh? Here is a decent commedy station. Not always the cleanest routines. Some of the comedians even show up with pictures and bio's (but not many).

Khaha.com Standup Comedy, http://64.62.194.5:11216

and if you want today's country

.977 The Kickin' Country Station, http://64.236.34.97:80/stream/1075
1.FM Country, http://64.62.158.226:8020

I did change the remote commands to select prev/next stations to use REW#2/FF#2 instead of Ch Up/Dn. I was running into too many conflicts with the station list and Bio section when using those. Some of the same limitations exist such as the Sage player not being able to stop the web radio player, and MVP (I assume).
It looks like you changed some of the default remote commands. Koelec's plugin uses the custom2 command on the remote to access the Web Radio, but in SageMC that is being used for Recorded TV. Did you change the remote command to some other custom command link?

Thanks in advance...

Hi Michael,
No, I'm sorry, had a lot of trouble creating a reimportable stvi, but resolved that by using flachbar's excellent sageutils.
Expect 1.1 in a couple of days.

A quick question on how this works.

I would like to use the web radio, but not have to have my projector on to see things. Is it possible to issue a command to go to the web radio interface, then use another command like next channel, prev channel to cycle through the channels? Or is there a way to directly to go a defined channel?

thanks,

Hi Morgan111,

I tried Khaha.com Standup Comedy, http://64.62.194.5:11216 but nothing happens. I've added a few other stations with no problem but this one doesn't seem to work? It shows up in the list but doesn't work. Is there any trick involved for this station?

Custom1, 2 and 3 are already being utilized for a function in the SageMC STV, like custom2 being assigned to Recorded TV. I could go ahead and specify custom4 for WebRadio. I actually have another problem in this release where some of the other shortcut remote buttons are not responding on the WebRadio pages. That will be in the next update also.

That is working for me right now. There is a chance that it was down or maxed out on connections earlier. If it still does not work try deleting the line and typing it again. Maybe there is some character that is hosing it up.

Morgan111,

Custom4 and Custom5 are used for comskip (same in standard STV), so it would be wise not to override this listener in menus from where videos can be played back ...

Exclamation Issues

Hey Chris, thank soooo much! I've been waiting for this one!

Here are some issues I noticed right away:

*BUG*
SageTV Video Options gets changed from "Always" to "If Active"

* I depend on the feature "Alway" because I dont like to be disrutped from watching TV when going to various screen. The ONLY time TV should be disrupted is when you select a radio statoin to play.

*Missing Feature*
You mentioned that you were able to... (took 5 minutes) have Web Radio automatically to to Now Playing when you select the radio station again or right arrow on the station. Did you forget to put this in?

*Very minor issue, but it sure would be nice if this gets fixed... artist picture is too small and not centered on 1080p displays.

So, far everything else works corrrectly as far as I can tell

Thanks for all your hard work!

-Michael

Hi Chris,

just noticed that my utility library is missing in the zip file. If anyone does not already have this library (df_sageutils.jar) in the JARs directory, I attached it to this post, just extract it into the SageTV\JARs directory and restart Sage before importing.

Dirk
Attached Files
File Type: zip df_sageutils.zip (12.2 KB, 222 views)

Aah, thanks,
Just uploaded new zip file with sageutils.jar and a little fix in the stvi to correct behaviour when a stream is offline and the video_on_menus setting need to be restored.
