File Download Section of this Forum

Anyone else find this gets them every time? I go to e.g. here:
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=141
to download SageMC. And search for a few minutes to try and work out where the hell I actually download it! It's buried right at the bottom and looks like some terms and conditions text. Should be right at the top and very, very obvious.

Whinge over!

I agree. I recall actually searching the page for "download" before to find it!

Now that I know where it is, it's not a big deal. But should be more obvious, nonetheless.

At least something to grab your attention, increase the fontsize of the download text, or add some type of download icon. Something as simple as : Which I found on a free clipart site.

Ideally it should be right near the top with all the other file info. Some of the downloads have so many pictures (I LIKE all the pictures!!) that where the download link is now it could be 3 pages down on the page.

I keep saying that when we update the forum software & that plugin, the newer version of the plugin has a more prominent download link... but if I can edit the template to remove the rating system, I suppose I should be able to add another download link near the top.

I'll look into it later.

After bumping into this several times I finally remember to look at the bottom. It is really evasive.

Andy,

I think something happened to the downloads section. There used to be a tiny 'Download Here' link centered at the bottom of the page but I can't find it there anymore. I think it might be hidden by the new scrolling text feature across the bottom of the page. Can you help me?

Aloha,
Mike

P.S.

Edit: I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes when I saw the new in-your-face Download link. My wife thought I lost it.

OK, I've had my joke for the day... I put the link back to a more reasonable size, but one that should still be easily noticeable.
