You can play non-encrypted DVDs (such as home made disks) in the drive, but you would have to add the DVD drive as an import directory. You would have to at least rescan the import dirs when you change the disk.

ok i tried this last night and it worked somewhat.
i put a dvd movie that i compiled from sagetv recordings in the dvd rom ( d: ) and mapped that drive in the imported videos section. this allowed the dvd contents to show up in sageMC as an unassigned video under video genre which is pretty convenient actually. problem is that when i tried to play the recordings through the mvp it brought up a loading banner but wouldn't initialize (just hung) i tried it again with a non copy protected retail dvd and got the same result. i then remapped the drive right to the video_ts folder (d:/video_ts) and this allowed me to directly see the vob's any of which would play just fine but none of them would play concurrently. am i doing something wrong or is this potentially a bug in 6.1.3? thanks. |
