Opened WMP10 for the first time - now all video black and white!!
Okay,
I'm pulling my hair out. I just put my new client machine into the living room and hooked it up to the HDTV. It's worked great until today, when adding a new audio card, I opened Windows Media Player 10 for the first time. Now, all video played back in either WMP10 or SageTV is almost black and white. The hints of color are so faint it's really almost black and white. Now, funny enough, to uninstall WMP10 from Windows 2003, I had to uninstal SP1. Opening up an MPEG2 file after uninstalling this allowed me to see normal color in WMP9. So.. in order to put DirectX 9.0 back on for SageTV, I reinstalled SP1. Back to the same problems. I am using VMR9 in SageTV with the NVidia PureVideo decoders. No changes there. Overlay will not even display video. Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this?

I should also add that color is fine in SageTV, at the Windows desktop, etc. Even the video preview shots in Sage are fine. It's just VMR9 playback. I also tried reinstalling the PureVideo decoders.. no luck.

Doh... I fixed my own issue.
I have no clue why, but after opening WMP10, my color settings in the NVidia display control panel had been set to literally the lowest value for color settings. Strange.............. I'm really starting to hate Microsoft more and more each day... heheheheh
