Wired MVP Availability in UK
I'm looking to buy two more wired MVPs in the UK, but can't find them anywhere...anyone seen them? All I can find are wireless ones which are double the price.
I've tried Dabs, Scan, eBuyer, Misco, PC World - anywhere else?

the last 2 I bought were from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hauppauge-Me...3436106&sr=8-1 They're about £60. The 2 I got were ver 2.05, with the SPDIF connector on the back. |

Thanks, never thought of Amazon. Still, obviously not in stock as showing 1-2 weeks. I might just leave my order in with Dabs because they are £15 less there - whether they'll ever get any is another matter...
I wonder why the shortage? Loads of wireless ones around.

I bought one from www.scan.co.uk at the end of last year for £42. It was a ver1. I then ordered another but cancelled it eventually as they never came back in stock. The amazon ones said 1 to 2 weeks when I bought mine. I'd have prefered not to pay the extra, but in the end bought them as I thought I'd end up waiting for ever. Like you say, wireless ones are everywhere, but they're a lot more money and most people don't use the wireless side.

I was looking to get a new wMVP a month or so ago, but with no luck. I spoke to Hauppauge directly and they said that the shortage was due to the fact they thought nobody was interested in them anymore, so they stopped producing so many. They also mentioned it would be mid to late march at the ealiest before a new batch arrived in the uk. Ended up spending not to far off full price for a second hand one on ebay. I love my MVP though

Rick,
Do you need SCART? if not perhaps buying them directly from sage may be the go...here in Australia they cost AU$260 locally, I just ordered one from Sage and it cost me AU$198 and that is with a Sage MVP client licence and shipping to Australia. If you are worried about the power supply, they are a switchmode supply rated at 100-250v so all you need is a travel adapter/adaptor. Just a thought Cheers, Fraser

Thanks for that, but yes, I really need SCART. Plus, Sage don't have them in stock either, and it would be quite expensive compared to the prices here.
My order at dabs.com changes from "None in Stock" to "3-4 Weeks" on a fairly regular basis.
