Client Cutting out.

Hi Everyone,
I have sage tv installed on a computer in my basement, i am using it with digital cable so i also installed and setup HIP. I am using the client app on my main computer so i can have digital cable in my room and not run a cable line. I have it hooked up to a High-gain hawking directional antanna and connected to a linksys 54g router. I dont have a monitior hooked up to the machine in the basement but i use vnc to view and adjust anything. When i turn on the client everything runs purfect for about 20mins, then its starts to get choppy for a bit every so often, then 10-15mins later the screen goes scrambled. If i am to exit and restart the client its fine again (for 20mins.)

My computers are:
Server:
P4-2.2/768M/60gig/xpp/tv wonder elite
Client
P4-2.8/1gig/300gig/xpp

I have tried searching but havent seen anyone with the same problem.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

I think i found the solution, my nintendo wii connecting to my network automatically with wiiconnect24 caused my network to drop to 11mbps, but windows did see the drop in wireless zero. i havent fully confirmed this so if anyone has any other ideas they might help. but when i disconnected the power to my wii the connection to the client stabilized. Hopefully this works.

If that's the situation then perhaps you may want to try a different channel setting on your wireless router. Best solution is to just hard wire the cable.

Oh - one more thing I have found that helps a lot when setting up wireless connections - use static IP address on the wireless clients.

no the wii connects to my wireless network for updates, it doesnt have anything to do with the channel its on, i can stop the wii from connecting automatically and updating. as for the wired connection, thats why i have sage to send cable wirelessly to my room so i dont have to run a cable line.
But thanks for your help.
