Snapstream ans SageTV6

Hello,

Just instaled the PVR500 with Snapstream and SageTV bundle. Use the composite video from my Scientific Atlanta 3250HD set top box. Here is the problem. I want to change the channel. The remote controls the software fine, I can see the guide change to channel X, but the signal does not switch. Am I missing something? I would really love to be able to change channels. Also want to be sure I can go above channel 129. Considering I have about 500.

I don't think the snapstream remote has a IR blaster to change the channel on the STB. Your options are to either buy an IR-blaster like a USB-UIRT to change the channel on the STB, or to set up Firewire channel changing through the firewire port of the STB, if your model has it. I dunno if your STB has serial changing available, but that could be an option as well.

In the mean time, you can run a splitter of the coax and run one coax directly to the PVR500 to tune analog cable. The second split will go to the STB for when you can get the channel tuning sorted out.

ke6guj's post already covers the need to have a way for SageTV to control the STB, but this bundle sounded strange:

Did you mean the Streamzap remote bundle with the PVR-500 and SageTV?
