PVR 1600 analog tuning
I replaced my older PVR 150 cards with the 1600's and am somewhat disappointed with the sharpness of the svideo recordings. I know I had to tune up the 150's with the tweak tool and was wondering if there is a similar tool for the 1600's (or a location in the registry to change that).

I believe the 1600 is basically a 150 + ATSC... see if some of the sames tools don't work. I'm waiting for my to come back from RMA so I'd like to know your results!

I ran the tweak tool and it says that no tuners are installed. Ran into an additional problem though. I've got 2 of the 1600's and am having trouble with getting both of them to receive on the OTA side at the same time. Either can do it but it seems not to work simultaneously. Anyone seen this?

ChrisTweak will work on a 1600...just tweaked two of them last week.

Slick tool, seems like it may be worth the minimal registration fee!
Question though, since the 1600 isn't listed but the video capture devices seem to be, I take it that just using the 2 video capture devices to modify the sharpness is where to go. Any hints on what the settings you used to modify yours. What I've been seeing from svideo capture from a DTV receiver is the video is rather fuzzy especially around text and movie character heads. I replaced my PVR150's with these cards (now have 2 operation 1600's in my HTPC) and there is a remarkable difference between video's done with the 150's as opposed to the 1600's. Mike |

I've only ever done analog "from the wall"...with PVR500's and now the 1600's....quality seems the same but I didn't do an A/B comparo. I've only ever tweaked the Spatial and Temporal "Blur". On the 500's it's set at 8 & 0...I ran 7 & 1. On the 1600's I followed the same general trend (forget the numbers, but they are different. I have no idea what any of the other settings do (Median, Chromance, Luminance, etc...)
