Cyberlink PowerDVD Vista EVR Support
I don't think this exactly impacts SageTV yet but this morning I noticed an update on Cyberlink's site dated July 24th for PowerDVD 7 that claims EVR support under Vista. I didn't have a whole lot of time this morning to test it out before I had to leave for work. The hardware deinterlacing seemed to work much better though.
As a side question, it appears to me that the PowerDVD decoder uses some set of defaults that is different from the settings used in the PowerDVD program. Is there any known way to change those defaults? It doesn't appear to use the Avivo support on my X1950XT in SageTV and the Media Center but does when it's playing in the PowerDVD program. The black levels appear more correct in PowerDVD than when playing in SageTV or Media Center. Even though I don't think this directly affects SageTV yet I thought it was exciting enough news. I'm glad someone is finally supporting EVR in Vista. Here's the link for anyone who's interested: http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/downl...hes_1_ENU.html Last edited by Taddeusz; 07-31-2007 at 10:08 AM. Reason: Added Link |
