Serial number mixup
I have two SageTV Client licenses. Priorly, one was assigned to system A (living room), the other to system B (bedroom).
System A was completely replaced with a new computer, the old computer formatted the HD and sold. When I installed the new system A, I reinstalled SageTV, and screwed up and used system B's serial number. Now, System A works just fine. System B gives me "Connection to server lost" immediately upon startup, but was working just fine before I messed up and installed SageTV on system A with system B's serial number, so I'll assume that this is because Since I now have two systems with the same serial number, how do I correct this situation? In other words, how do I get SageTV to prompt me for my proper client serial number, or how can I change SageTV's serial number on system A to be the correct one? Thanks! |

Start the client with the word REGISTER on the command line as per Appendix D of the manual.
