hauppauge 150 mce

I just got a new Hauppauge PVR 150 MCE (since it's cheaper than the normal version). I tried to use it with my linux server, but it wasn't tuning channels properly - there was just fuzz. This was the first time I used my new server, so I thought maybe I didn't configure something properly, so I swapped the card out for my older PVR 150 (not MCE), and this worked fine.

So, is the PVR 150 MCE compatible with the linux version of sage? And is there something I need to do to get it to work? I thought I saw it was supported? Anyone use this card and/or have any thoughts?

Thanks.

I also have the Windows version of Sage and decided to test if the 150 MCE worked in that box (just to note, I have a 350 non MCE installed in the Windows box as well). The 150 MCE in the Windows box also only showed fuzz, so I'm wondering if it's a defective card. Any thoughts?

Try running dmesg from a terminal and see if it lists anything about the tuner in there. it should spit out some info on what tuner it found and if there are any errors

so the strange thing is if i try to get to a command prompt (i'm using CTRL-ALT-F1), it asks me to login. i supply my login and password (the one i set up during install) and it says it's invalid. so i can't even get to a command prompt to try anything like that.

and the pvr-150 (non mce) works fine when i plug it into the same pci slot.
