Great job! (beta 6.3.1)

YES!!!

It is working great.

Thank you!

From what I've seen so far, beta 6.3.1 is very stable and responsive.
IMO, the best Sage version ever.

Thanks again!

Thumbs up Agreed

This beta version seems to have fixed the issue of drive thrashing! On 6.2 I would have constant hard drive accessing - once by sage service, and another by sage TV itself. Then times that by the number of streams that I wanted to record = bad studdering. Now it seems that I can record 2 HD, 2 SD and watch another show at the same time without any problems!!!!

Was there a specific fix that would have addressed this? Just curious why it's different for you now.

Wink Follow up

Nothing! I just installed over 6.2(10). I am runing Vista X64 with 4 GIG RAM and 2 x 500 gig hard drives for video storage running striping. Usually get about 110 meg / second.

I was getting a lot of drive thrashing - hard fautls, etc. When watching a HD show being recorded my SD shows being recorded at the same time would by off sync between the video and audio.

Now with resource monitor, I don't see the duplicate file access like I did before.

Maybe it is a fluke, but ain't going to complain!
