Sage Integration into Media Portal or Meedios?
Just found Sage TV, and it's great, because it works.
Unfortunately, I am not overly fond of the GUI. So I am trying to integrate it into Media Portal. I've been able to create a main menu item for Sage TV in MP, and when I select it, Media Portal minimizes, and Sage starts. My main problem is, once I am in Sage Full Screen, I can't figure out how to exit Sage with the remote, so that I can get back to MP. Is there an Exit menu that I am missing, or can I assign a button on the remote to exit Sage? Alternatively, doesn anyone here use Meedios, and is integration much smoother than what I can achieve with MP? |

Have you tried the SageMC 16x9 plugin? I find it better than the default GUI.

If I am not mistaken, CTRL-Z puts Sage to sleep so that you get back to MediaPortal (or ALT-F4 exits completely if you use other software that uses the graphics card). Just assign this combination to a button on the remote.

Thanks!
I tried SageMC, but it doesn't seem stable on my system (menus don't highlight properly, I can't select some items, etc.) CTRL-Z puts Sage to sleep, but I get its screensaver, instead of going back to MP. ALT-4 does the trick. BTW, how do I set Sage to start in Full Screen? |

Fullscreen startup is in the FAQ.
CTRL-Z=screensaver - there is a detailed setup option 'Screen saver on sleep' which controls this behaviour.

I used Meedio and Sage together for years.
All you need to do is enter Sage Setup, I think the option you want to change is in the "general" subcategory. Change the option that says what sage does when put on standby (the default is screensaver) You can then jsut make Sage mimimize when you select standby off the main menu. |
