New to Sage, New to HTPC

I seem to be having problems getting Sage to recognize my tuner cards. Every time I try to set them up Sage can't seem to find the correct card and the setup hangs and I'm forced to hard reset. Here is my config so far:

HP Pavilion a6250z PC
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
- AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 5600+ dual-core - 2.8GHz
- 4GB DDR2-667MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x1024)
- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT, DVI-I, TV-out, HDMI
- 500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
- Blu-ray / HD DVD player & Lightscribe SuperMulti DVD burner
- Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
- Hauppage WinTV HVR-1600 (1178)
- Hauppage WinTV HVR-1800 (1129)

SageTV 6.3.5

Everything seems fine but when I get to the setup capture card page I don't see the 1600 or the 1800. I see a 418 vr, 418 ts, 835 vr and 835 ts (or somthing like that). When I try to set up either 418 card it hangs trying to get a picture. The 835 cards kind of worked. After setting the 835 cards to use the tv tuner I tried to setup the video output and the system hung there as well.

The last thing I tried was disabling the uac function in Vista but that blew up my PC so I'm waiting to restore to factory defaults.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Oh yeah, my inputs in the Hauppage 1600 are a coax cable and then I'm trying to use the S-Video from my cable box. The 1800 uses two coax cables.

Sorry, I was looking in the wrong forum. I'll try the tips mentioned in the "Setting up HVR-1600" post.
