Copy EPG data to another channel.
My OTA tuner and Cable tuner have some of the same channels.
For example channel 57-1 is the HD OTA version of Channel 7 of the cable tuner. 57-1 however shows No Data in the EPG, while 7 has the EPG filled out. Since both show the exact same shows is there a way to copy the EPG from Channel 7 to 57-1, so both show the exact same thing? But I still want them to show up as different channels. Thanks, |

So if your channel setup does not look like the following: 57-1 - CITYDT - [53-57-1] 1) Click "Add Channel to Lineup" 2) For the Name of new channel enter "CITYDT" -> If sage prompts for a Zap2it id (it very likely will not enter: 44784) 3) Enter a logical channel # of 57-1 (this can be whatever you want), next 4) Next click "Remap" 5) Click "Map to Different Physical Channel Number" -> Enter [53-57-1] this is what Sage uses to tune the actual channel 6) Once added make sure the new channel has a Green button beside, and your old busted non-working channel is blank (not showing in grid) That should work, let me know if it doesn't

It appeared that the settings for that channel were, already there.
But I followed your instructions and added the channel again. No luck, still showing No Data. If you have any ideas? Thanks for your help. Just noticed that it has changed from No Data to "DTV Program". So if 57-1 does not have EPG data, is my original question possible to copy the data from another channel to it? Well I know 57-1 has data as I have and and I can see HDTV flags etc.. You can have a go and try this post: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...704#post119704 I had to do that a while ago, and the data showed up. If you see EXACTLY what I typed it should work. Also double check this: Search Sage.properties (in C:\program files\SageTV\SageTV by default). Search for 57-1 you should have this: 53-57-1;48756 If not you may have to delete your HD source and re add it (If the FAQ post above doesn't help)

Still not having any luck.
One thing to mention is that the American Stations are fine, but all the Canadian stations,(CBC,CTV,CITY,SUN) its either No Data or DTV program. Could it be the way I'm adding the source? This is what I do for the OTA card source setup. Use Tuner on Capture Card to tune Antenna/Broadcast, Use US,Canada, or XMLTV Guide Data with this Source, Cable or Satellite, (use my postal code), Antenna. Then I search for signals. The Toronto location isn't available in Local Broadcast (Over-the-Air), that's why I choose Cable or Satellite. Does that make sense? Or is there another way to do it? thanks, |

As a starting base for the guide data search for Buffalo (10001) (so you can start with all the US channels). Then add in the Canadian Channels - with the newest software a channel scan should put all the proper call signs into sage. Starting with the Antenna Digital broadcast ensures you get all the digital stations & HD flags etc..

I worked on it a bit.
I went into the sage.properties and deleted all lines that had override in them. I then did a rescan. Now City, 57-1 is working, the EPG data is there. Along with all the American stations. But CBC, CTV, and Sun are still showing No Data. Are these channels working for you? Thanks, |

The only other thing I can think of - if your stations match exactly what I have in the screenshots is to edit the sage.properties file, and remove the following line: epg/access_code= It's the code in which sage uses to access the guide data, yours might be messed up.

I'm able to get CBC to work as well but looking at your attachments, 66-1 is not the same for me, it comes up as DTV66.1. I tried changing it manually to match yours but still no luck.
Even when I try rescans the same thing comes up. I will keep working on it. thanks, |

I've been trying all week with no luck, following the instructions above. Then all of a sudden after a scan the channel came up properly. Not sure what I differently then the times before or if I did something different. following the instructions above.
Therefore everything except CTFO is working, I'm going to play around with it now, and hopefully by next week it will be working as well. thanks, |
