Discrete PowerOn/Off with a Harmony Remote

Hi,
Does anyone have the discrete power on/off working with a Harmony remote? I may be making this harder than it needs to be but I'm stuck since the codes aren't in the Harmony database. I contacted Harmony support but they said that they need the hex codes provided to them. Based on the remote codes spreadsheet, I told them that the codes were RC5 System 28 Scan Code 14 for PowerOn and 15 for PowerOff but apparently this isn't enough information.
Thanks,
Tim

The codes are in the Harmony database. Pick settop box, not PC and find the Sage STX-HD100. I have discrete power on and power off in the LCD menu of my Harmony 880 and they work.

I previously added this to the remote sticky:

For Harmony remotes, select: Device = Media Center PC; Manufacturer=Sagetv; Model= STX-HD100

Is this not the best choice? If not, what should be selected?

(How many different ways can this be selected in the Harmony database??)

When you select Digital Settop box -> SageTV->STX-HD100 their software redirects to
Media Center PC -> SageTV->STX-HD100 so I don't know if it matters which route you go. I tried both ways and I still don't see the codes.
I just added another instance of the extender but when I select Lean IR from the devices menu the discrete power on/off codes are empty where everything else says 'Database'

I found settop box. This worked better for me because as you go through the harmony wizard you don't define how you play a DVD and what inputs it is connected to, and other questions. Whoever had it defined as a settop box in Harmony actually is more appropriate for the way the HD Extender is and operates. My 2 cents.

Gerry

EDIT: I'll go back through my Harmony setup and confirm. But I have all the other commands from the remote on 2 pages of the LCD windows on my remote. Some I may have added but alot were already there. I'll post back later tonight. And I just used the discrete power on the other night.

Thanks for checking, maybe the Harmony folks consolidated the entries and picked the one that didn't have the discrete codes added.

I can't explain it. I show an on and an off button in the Harmony LCD screen when I choose the digital setbox 2 (SageTV-STV-HD100). BUt when I go into the Harmony configuration I don't have any choice of on or off to assign to it. I only have a power toggle. Yet I can turn the Extender on and off with those choices from the remote. I did my configuration when the HD Extender was brand new so maybe it has changed somewaht on the Harmony database. But when I configured it I defined the STX-HD100 as a digital setbox with SageTV as the manufacturer. It asked me to press a few buttons to confirm it and then it loaded the config I currently have. I also have my cable box, TV, receiver defined as devices.

In my file attachment here is a Pronto CCF file which is what the folks at Harmony usually ask for. The 14 and 15 buttons in the CCF correspond to discrete on and off.

Thanks. I'll send those codes to Harmony and see what they say.

Harmony updated my remote with the discrete codes. They work great. I don't think they have added them to the product database yet though.

HDX-100 Extender and Harmoney 550 Remote

I'm trying to program a Logitech Harmony 550 remote to combine a TV, Receiver and, most importantly, a HDX-100 Sage Extender.

I saw the spreadsheet in the FAQ for the direct codes to enter for things like Power On and Power Off, but I cannot figure out how to enter them into the Harmony.

Has anyone done this and can help? The Harmony's software doesn't make a lot of sense to enter a code directly.

Thanks!

Stacy

It does work. Your model number isn't right. Choose SageTV under MediaCenter PC, I think.
