HVR-1600 and Svideo on QAM tuner
I have installed a HVR-1600 in my system and currently have my cable box hooked up through the svideo input and the cable split and going to both connectors. Right now the Svideo is set up to use the analog tuner, but I would rather have it use the QAM tuner if possible. In the setup I have the choice of 2 tuners, a Hauppauge WinTV 418 and a Hauppauge WinTV 418 TS. In the setup when I select the analog tuner I have the choice for
Composite Composite_2 S-Video S-Video_2 TV tuner I choose the S-Video and it works fine on the analog tuner. I have tried deleting all the sources, removing them from the Sage.properties file and re-adding them, but when I set up the Digital tuner (listed as TS), it only gives me the TV tuner selection. I have also tried selecting S-Video_2 when setting up the 1st tuner, but that does not get anything in the preview. Any way to get the S-Video to play through the QAM tuner? Thanks |

To receive QAM that is over cable. s-video is a video connection. You need to be connected to the cable and thus use the tuner on the card to receive QAM.
