'on-demand' recording system that will record from a media streaming server stream.
This may not be the correct place to post this, but maybe you guys can help.
I'm in the process of trying setup an 'on-demand' recording system that will record either from a media streaming server. (The media streaming server currently streams 18 channels (at 1mbps) soon to be 32 channels.) Or the encoder pc's that feed the media streaming server simultaneously records (wmv format) those 18 channels (in 3 hour blocks). The recordings are only kept for 2 weeks. Sage has most of the fuctionality required but I need the following:- 1. Always Record 24/7 - start and stop recordings as per the epg timings. 2. Recordings requested (Set to record from the web interface like Nielm's Webserver) be archived and everything else deleted when its 2 weeks old 3. Create virtual adapters to record from media streaming server. Assign - EPG.xml to Virtual Adapter. Schedule recordings from EPG using Webpage. Can anyone think of a way I can acheive this? Thanks Anne
