Buying a new TV - opinions?

I left a message about the potential purchase of my first HDTV in the AVS forums.

Frankly, I'd much rather get the opinions of my fellow SageTV compatriats...

Any opinions on which 32" HDTV I should buy? I am currently looking at the 720p Samsung LN-T3253H. I am concerned about reported audio issues (that seem to be corrected now), and also by the fact that I WON'T be moving to one of the 1080p offerings (seemingly just Sharp at this point.

Any opinions out there? FYI: Aesthetics of the HDTV are important for us on this one.

I got the kids a 36" Panasonic plasma. I had bought a RP LCD with an extended warranty and it died 30 days before the 4 year warranty ran out. They didn't make that model anymore so I was able to get the plasma instead. Prices have dropped pretty well on the plasmas and for me, have a better picture. The wife and I enjoy a 42" Panasonic plasma.

Smile VIZIO VS JVC

We purchased:

A) Vizio 42" LCD 1080P
B) JVC 42" LCD 1080P

We put both TVs side by side and put the same cable source into both.

HDTV Channels Display - We could not see any difference
DTV - We could not see any difference
Analog Cable - VIZIO was much better than JVC with default settings. After I played with the JVC's complicated menu I was able to make it look the same as the VIZIO.

The bottom line is that all HDTV transmissions are 720P or 1080I. I have not seen a 1080P program yet and I am not sure that 64QAM or 8VSB has the bandwidth to support 1080P.

Secondly there are very few 1080P DVD players out there, but there are Graphics cards that support 1080P.

We ended up returning the JVC since the VIZIO was cheaper.

I've got a 42" Vizio and a 37" Vizio. Unbeatable performance for the price.
