Can't (reliably) watch HDHomerun live tv on Sage linux

Sagetv support is helping me with these issues -

I went so far as to install a new sata II (sil chipset) raid card in the PCIX slot

and also a MT1000 intel nic

I've tryed centos 32 bit, debian 32 bit, (almost all the 64 bit os's and gave up until the 32 bits work), ubuntu 32 bit, and opensuse

I think it might be some incompatability with JRE 1.6 update 6, I'm going to try and roll back to update 5 or 4 and give it a try.

With the hdhomerun, I'm getting java null pointer errors, and also where it closes the miniclient right after it tunes the HDhomerun channel

No problemo - I will do a nice writeup once I figure this all out -

I've sent logs to sage but am also going to try a few other things

java update 4 and 5 did the same thing, I've got 2 add in pci atsc nics to throw in just to rule out my setup.

I'm also going to try and direct connect the hdhomerun with my machine eliminating my gig switch as a culprit

You might consider Java 1.5 as well. I have found the best stability using it
