Convert "Status:FAILED" in all 6.4 betas...
Long time user, first time poster...
Anyone else having problems with the new beta not converting recorded shows? In 6.3.10 and prior, I can convert any recorded shows to iPod, iPhone, or AppleTV. With the new betas, I can only convert to iPod. Anything else, and it goes to the window showing "Status:Waiting to Start" for about a half second, then changes to "Status:Failed". Like I said, in 6.3.10 and prior, it will convert to any of the selectable formats just fine, but only iPod and not any other format in any of the 6.4 betas. I'm using an old Dell 4550 desktop with a 2.53Ghz P4 and 1Gb of memory, Windows XP Pro, and a WinTV PVR150. I've searched and can find no other postings about this problem with the 6.4 betas, unless I'm just missing them. Let me know if there is any other info I can provide. JEFF |

I suggest filing a bug report for help tracking it down.

I filed a bug report yesterday before I posted on here, and I just got an e-mail saying that it is fixed in the next build.

I got this to happen on the latest beta by just converting one video. When I tried to convert a second one, that's when I got the same error. The only way to get it to convert again successfully was to stop and restart the SageTV service.

Convert "Status:FAILED" in all 6.4 betas...
Yes, I had the same... the only thing helped me is to delete old wiz.bin and wiz.bak and recreate the new one. In some custom conversions I had to change audio conversion say from mp3 to just copying existing audio [bf\=aud;]. I noticed that in 6.4.4 there is a new version of FFmpeg.exe (SageTVTranscoder.exe)

i'm hoping to get the AppleTV converting back in the next beta, as it seems like a great compromise of disk space and quality...
